Located just 18 miles from Albuquerque is the village of Bosque Farms. The rich history of Bosque Farms goes back to 1716, when it was called Bosque del Pino (Forest Pines), or Los Pinos. The village is located along the historic Camino Real (the Royal Road) which follows the Rio Grande and was a route for traders. Today, the village retains it’s farming heritage, exemplified in the alfalfa fields and the dairy farm that still operates there.

Bosque Farms offers shopping and dining options within the village, along with being close to the Albuquerque metropolitan area.

For dining options, popular choices include Sopa’s Restaurant, Benny’s Mexican Kitchen, Burritos Alinstante, and plus several places to find a great burger.

Bosque Farms does not have its own parks department but it does have a Community Center with a large, grassy picnic area with two concrete benches. Nearby Albuquerque has numerous parks, highlighted by its BioPark Zoo. The Sandia Mountains, and the foothills leading to them, provide a year-round playground for outdoor enthusiasts.

For elementary school, Bosque Farms children in grades Kindergarten through 6th Grade attend Bosque Farms Elementary. Middle school children (7th & 8th grade) and high school students (9th through 12th Grade) attend schools administered by the Los Lunas Public Schools.
