Staging the Master Bedroom for a Faster Sale

Staging the Master Bedroom for a Faster Sale

Usually when we think about staging a home, we don’t always focus on a specific room. But if you plan to sell your home in Albuquerque, you can really make a great impression on buyers by focusing on the master bedroom.

The master bedroom is an important room to stage in order to help potential buyers feel right at home. There’s a few easy ways to class up the master bedroom without spending big bucks.

Add overstuffed pillows. Placing overstuffed decorative throw pillows on the bed is a great way to add a touch of luxury, but without spending too much. One tip is to buy insets that are slightly larger than the pillow. For example, designers with an 18-inch square pillow will buy 20-inch inserts.

Bring in a tray. This can be an easy way to add some class to a room. Try placing a tray on a vanity and adding perfume bottles and a candle.

Drape a large blanket. You can cover your inexpensive bedding with a large blanket, such as a big knit throw. You can place it on the foot of your bed to take the focus away from less expensive bedding. You can also update a plain headboard with a vintage tapestry by draping it over the headboard and tucking it behind the pillows near the mattress.

Don’t forget texture. If you layer the room with texture, you can can make it seem more upscale. You can use a rattan basket or Southwestern pottery to add texture.

Lift the curtains. Rooms can be made to feel bigger and more open by raising curtain rods two to three inches below the ceiling line, designers note. The windows will seem larger and help to define a more elegant space.

Just remember not to overdo it. You don’t want to clutter up the room too much. But with a little bit of thought, you can make your master bedroom stand out to Albuquerque home buyers and close the sale faster.
