Currently, the south Catch & Release Lake, the Central Lake & the Children’s Pond are stocked & may be fished. The children’s pond may be fished only by children ages 12 & younger. A NM fishing license is required for ages 12 & older.

Wildlife West Nature Park is a 122-acre wildlife refuge & an enhanced rescued wildlife zoo featuring over 20 species of native New Mexican animals. Our zoo features cougars, wolves, bear, elk, deer, javelina, fox, raptors & more. Overnight adventures available by appointment.
Rio Grande Nature Center State Park

Located on the central Rio Grande flyway, Rio Grande Nature Center State Park offers excellent bird watching throughout the year. Visitors can observe about 250 species of birds including roadrunners and wood ducks. A trail system along the river, demonstration gardens and indoor and outdoor wildlife viewing areas add to this valuable public resource.
