Celebrate Memorial Day Weekend in Albuquerque

Memorial Day is coming this next weekend, so it’s time to get ready for some good old American fun as we remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Here are a few events planned for the upcoming week in Albuquerque that will.

Cemetery History Tour and Antique Car Exhibit

Mon, May 31, 9 AM – 1 PM

Fairview Memorial Park
700 Yale Blvd SE, Albuquerque, NM

The nonprofit Historic Fairview Cemetery organization invites visitors to take a tour and learn about some of its famous (and infamous) residents. Four one-hour tours will be conducted at 9:00, 10:00, 11:00 and noon. A donation of $20 per person is requested to help maintain the cemetery. Historic Fairview Cemetery is accessed through the main entrance to Fairview Memorial Park, 700 Yale Blvd. SE.

Memorial Day Weekend Celebration

Join us for the new MEMORIAL MARCH, a Memorial Day themed run that is perfect for the whole family. The fun includes great swag (designer shirt, custom medal). You also have the option to run virtually – run on the treadmill, in your neighborhood, or your favorite route at the park and on your own time, just make sure to follow CDC guidelines! Virtual runners will be able to add their time to the online results leader board with the rest of the great virtual running community.
